Friday evening, I arrived in Tours, and Brigitte got me from the train station. We had a delicious shrimp curry with rice for dinner.
On Saturday, we went to Les Halles, where there are tons of little pastry, meat, veggie, fruit, and bread shops! We got a few things for meals and some dessert lol.

| Busy Saturday morning! |
After lunch, I sat outside and tried to work on a little tan. Then, I went into town and met up with Staële, an old friend from the first time I was in Tours! It was so nice to see her again and to catch up on life :). We had a drink at Place Plum, which was crowded with people! It happened to be Women’s day today, so were were given roses from the hostess :).

After that, I went back home and had dinner with Brigitte. We had some yummy sausage. Next we went to the movies to see Un Été à Osage County (in english the title is, August: Osage County) which starred Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep. It was a very dramatic movie, but it was interesting. It was centered around the struggles of a very dysfunctional family.

| It's difficult to see, but here on the signs they let you know how many places are left in each showing. I think it's a pretty neat idea. |
After the movie, we went salsa dancing! Boy, do these french people know how to dance! There were tons of people there, young and old. Luckily Brigitte knows a good amount of people who go to these events, so there were people for us to dance with. It’s been a long time since I danced, and I realized that I really miss it!
On Sunday, we had some yummy fish for lunch, and then sunbathed for a while. In the late afternoon, we went for a nice long walk along the river. We walked for about 2 and a half hours. It was so beautiful outside and there were so many families out enjoying the pleasant weather. We even walked all the way to this guinguette where Brigitte took me and some friends dancing three years ago!
After the walk, we went into town and had a nice cool drink at this nice bar. It was so nice to spend time outside.
Then, we went back home and relaxed for a while. We had a delicious dinner and after that, we had nutella crepes for dessert! Mmmmmm. Then, I watched a movie on TV called, The Women on the 6th Floor (Les Femmes du 6ème étage) which was about these Spanish women that worked for rich families in Paris.
Then, Mathias and I played some card games, and that was a perfect way to end my evening :).
I had a really great time with my french family this weekend, and I hope to see them all again sometime soon!
Monday morning, I took a train back to Roanne, and now I have a few days to get ready for another trip with my roomies coming up soon!
